Product Overview

The VP6/VP8 System Software 13.0.0 External 3 for the Voluson™ series is used in woman and child health imaging, providing high quality ultrasound images. It is used in obstetric and gynecological applications. The Voluson™ P6 (VP6) & Voluson™ P8 (VP8) versions are highly advanced ultrasonic imaging systems. Medical ultrasound images are created by computer and digital memory from the transmission and reception of mechanical high-frequency waves generated through a probe or transducer. The ultrasound waves spread through the body, producing an echo where density changes occur. The echoes return to the transducer where they are converted back into electrical signals, thus affecting the quality of images formed. An ultrasonic system contains application software and system software. While the software can be upgraded by means of the application software CD provided, the data of the patients can be stored and the unit is run by means of the system software CD. The 2D and 3D images are produced that provide vital information in detecting and characterizing obstetrics and gynecologic issues.
