Product Overview

A Fuse is an safety device used to protect an electrical circuit from higher current. It has a strip of wire that melts and breaks an electric circuit when the current exceeds a desired level. Regular fuses are always connected in series with components to be protect from overcurrent, so when the fuse blows (opens) it will open the circuit and stop any current through the components. Regular fuses do not allow for any spike over the current rating of the fuse. This fuse is a high speed square body DIN 43-653 stud mount high speed fuse . High speed fuses are specially designed to minimize the I²t, peak current let-through and arc voltage. Ensuring fast opening and clearing of a fault requires rapid element melting. The part is compliant to IEC and UL standards and it is approved for today’s safety standards. This high sepeed fuse can be used with GE's Optima 540, Lightspeed, Brightspeed, Discovery ST, HiSpeed, Discovery 670, Brivo 385 and Revolution ACT Computed Tomography (CT) Systems.
