Product Overview

The VID/MUX Assembly consists of Video Multiplexer (VID/MUX) board. It is used in conjunction with the Integrated Electronics Box (IEB) intended to operate in the surgical procedure room. The main purpose of the board is to buffer and switch the three possible video signals for computer monitors. The board has the capability simultaneous signals from three sources: Video 1, Video 2, and Video 3. The VID/MUX box buffers each of these three video signals to two separate outputs, generally called the “remote” and “local” outputs. The local outputs are used for monitors in an actual lab. The final video output on the board is the “Switched Video” output. This output is switched between the signal inputs. The system operates from a power supply with the voltage levels between +5 V and -5 V. The video output drivers on the board are capable of transmitting a video signal through up to 100 feet of shielded video cable. It operates properly under an ambient temperature range from 0˚ C to 35˚ C, non-condensing.
