Product Overview
A Circuit Breaker is intended to interrupt current flow after a fault is detected. It is actually an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect the circuit from excess current from an overload or short circuit. It also protects the circuit from ground fault. The bi-pole thermal circuit breaker provided with positively trip-free release mechanism makes it suitable to protect against a broad range of equipments and systems. The circuit breakers or switch combination is an On or Off switch with integral overcurrent protection. The trip element is a bimetal. It uses push buttion actuation which controls the flow of current. The heating effect of current heats up the bimetal or hot wire until the tripping point is reached and the breaker provides genuine physical contact isolation. The GE product is an innovation and technology which fits well into versatile customer needs. It is manufactured using high precision techniques which helps to achieve a good surface finish as well as good product consistency.
